Steve Olson, PGA Tour Senior Director of Corporate Security, back in the U.S. short after the Olympics, sent to Edwin Maldonado, NBC Sports Global Security Director, a letter to thank him for the efficient support Body Guard provided under NBC agreement to the American golf team. Olson says the security plan PGA Tour had overnight required, with armored cars and personal protection, was only possible to meet through NBC good-will in extending to PGA its contract with Body Guard and through “‘on the ground’ coordination” of the scheme by Maldonado himself.
Based on his experience in the Olympics he then “highly” recommends Body Guard to anyone requiring security services in Brazil, promises to use the company again in an eventual return to the country and thanks Maldonado for having put them in contact with us.
