Body Guard: Pioneering streak in cinema and advertising fields

Since its creation, Body Guard has had a very close connection to producers and directors, not only of advertising movies and commercials, but also of video clips and great events, such as the musical clips “Just Another Night”  (Mick Jagger – 1984) and “They Don’t Care About Us” (Michael Jackson – 1996).

Body Guard provided operational support for some movies like “Central do Brasil” (1998), “Cidade de Deus” (2001), “The Incredible Hulk” (2007), “Gringos no Rio” (2008), “Tropa de Elite 2” (2010), among others. “Kickboxers 3” (1992) was another film that brought great projection to the company.

A case to be remembered is a commercial shooting for the oil tanker Shell (2007), which together with Ferrari produced images in Rio waterfront that mobilized more than 150 men to act both in the film set security and in accident prevention, since Formula 1 car was running in a very fast speed on urban roads.

Other jobs helped to establish Body Guard leadership in the cinematographic segment. The shootings of “The Expendables” (2010), with Sylvester Stallone, for example, almost ‘closed’ Mangaratiba city, in the South area of Rio de Janeiro state, since the movie used real arsenal, although with blank cartridge.
